MOSHE FELDENKRAIS, D. Sc. (1904-1984) was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to Israel at the age of thirteen. A brilliant engineer and physicist, he was educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, assisted Joliet-Curie in early nuclear research, and was selected by Professor Kano, the developer of Judo, to become the first Western Judo Master. With his broad repertoire of knowledge of the sciences, movement, psychology, learning theories, neuroscience and systems theory, Dr. Feldenkrais made revolutionary discoveries regarding consciousness, movement and human functioning.

He created The Feldenkrais Method, which evolved from his first training program in the 1960s to over 6000 practitioners worldwide and has benefited thousands of individuals, from the physically challenged to renowned performers.

“Feldenkrais represents a revolution in human health. Through this method we can learn to improve our living circumstances not only physically but also physically emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.”
