GROUP CLASSES: Movement Beyond Exercise

Group lessons transform movement out of the realm of exercise and into a conversation between movement and the brain. Innovative movement sequences call upon one’s ability to think, to listen and to feel in an entirely new way. Participants find these movements and their connection to the inner patterns of the brain have enabled them to deepen their intelligence, to be more emotionally resilient and to experience the sheer joy of new found freedom of movement.

Carefully directed sequences wake up the brain’s ability to do its job well and create the kind of organized neurological actions which enable everyone from recovering stroke patients to accomplished athletes to become stronger and more flexible, to breathe, sit and walk better, and to dramatically improve overall performance.

“My hips, legs, etc. are now so loose that I can easily do all kinds of things I never could before when I was stiff and tight despite a regular yoga regimen.”
—Gwen Thompson, singer/writer/teacher
